RF AUTOMOTIVE LTD
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These terms apply to vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and related work supplied by RF Automotive Ltd (“RF Automotive”, “we”, “us”). They are intended to set out clearly how we work with our customers. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. Estimates, quotations and authorisation
Any estimate is our reasonable indication of likely cost based on the information available at the time and is not a fixed price unless expressly stated to be a quotation. A quotation is based on the work and parts described and may need to change if additional faults, damage or requirements become apparent.
We will seek your authorisation before carrying out material additional work that falls outside the work already agreed. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the additional work and likely cost before proceeding.
2. Diagnostics
Diagnostic work is chargeable for the time and expertise involved, whether or not the investigation results in an immediate repair. Modern vehicle faults can have more than one cause and diagnostic testing may need to proceed in stages. We will explain recommended next steps where further investigation is required.
3. Parts
We normally supply parts that we consider suitable for the repair. Where a customer asks us to fit customer-supplied parts, we may refuse to do so where we consider them unsuitable or unsafe. Any warranty applying to a customer-supplied part remains the responsibility of its supplier, although your statutory rights in relation to our own workmanship are unaffected.
4. Vehicle access and test drives
By leaving a vehicle with us, you authorise RF Automotive to move and, where reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair or verification of the work, road-test the vehicle. Reasonable mileage may therefore be added to the vehicle.
5. Completion dates
We will use reasonable care to meet any indicated completion date, but dates may change because of parts availability, further faults discovered, specialist work or other matters outside our reasonable control. We will keep you informed of material delays.
6. Payment and collection
Payment is due when the work is completed and before the vehicle is released, unless we have agreed other payment terms in advance. We may require a deposit or advance payment for special-order parts or substantial work.
7. Uncollected vehicles
Please collect your vehicle promptly once we tell you it is ready. If a vehicle remains uncollected for an unreasonable period after we have asked for collection, we may charge a reasonable storage fee, provided the fee and the date from which it will apply have been communicated to you in advance.
8. Workmanship and warranties
We aim to carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. Any parts warranty will depend on the relevant part and manufacturer or supplier terms. If you believe there is a problem with work we have carried out, please contact us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy it.
9. Existing faults and vehicle condition
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, deterioration or unrelated faults that were not caused by our work. Where we identify an issue affecting safety or reliability, we may advise you not to drive the vehicle until the issue has been rectified.
10. Personal belongings
Please remove valuables and unnecessary personal belongings before leaving a vehicle with us. We will take reasonable care of vehicles in our possession but cannot accept responsibility for items left in a vehicle unless loss or damage results from our failure to exercise reasonable care.
11. Cancellation
If you cancel authorised work, you remain responsible for work already reasonably carried out and for parts or costs we have reasonably committed to for your job where those costs cannot reasonably be avoided or recovered. Your statutory cancellation rights, where applicable, are not affected.
12. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including rights relating to services performed with reasonable care and skill and goods being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us first so that we can investigate and try to resolve the matter. Email Info@rfauto.co.uk or contact the workshop using the details on our website.
